Located at the northern gateway of the Pearl District in Northwest Portland, the U-Store concept goes beyond simply being a storage facility. KLA has worked alongside MCA Architects to propose an engaging design to facilitate and activate the surrounding community.

Early concepts included a round-about, centered with a sculptural monument alluding to the ecology of the river district of Portland; more recently, KLA has focused on activating the space on the southeast corner of the site with custom illuminated benches and the addition of food trucks.

Still early in the Schematic Design phase, KLA excited to expand upon these early ideas and help create a truly unique and enjoyable place in one of Portland's fastest growing neighborhoods.
