In the hills above Hood River, KLA provided the owners with a renovated landscape which speaks to the genus loci of the surrounding area. The front yard features locally sourced specimen boulders and river rock, along with a specialized plant palette designed for Hood River's unique climate.

The backyard also has a unique plant palette, but is protected from the harsh winter winds by large existing Fir trees which were preserved on-site. The existing patio terrace was reshaped and enlarged, while access paths to the front and back of the site were also added. The lawn in the front and backyards were replaced with new sod and are bounded by river rock bands and new plantings.
