The Backbridge Lofts will be a part of the inner east side urban living renaissance. This project will have 38 condominiums, townhomes, live work units.Knitted into the surrounding neighborhood, this project consists of split level live-work townhomes abutting an older residential district, and live work loft units fronting a burgeoning commercial corridor. The proposed building is a modern architectural composition of concrete, Ipe wood and large expanses of glass. Off street parking is provided in lowered interior parking courtyard.
The landscape design is comprised of elements that activate the street level experience and provide for flexible, semipublic terraces and sculpture gardens. Interior common areas take advantage of floor to ceiling windows to daylight interior corridors and provide views into small exterior sculpture courts. The parking area will have a steel framed cover with a small garden roof to enhance views from units above.
